Black Sand 12/13/05

Pretty uneventful show from our end; the combination of freezing cold & no calls left us feeling like we were broadcasting from some Antarctic pirate radio outpost. At least Conrad didn't sprout spider legs & attack me. That would have been the icing on an already horrible cake. Or day. He did freak out on the mixing board, however.

Lots of un-American stuff: Apryl Fool, Dickens, Montes, Picchio Dal Pozzo, Jacques Fihl, Osamu Kitajima, etc. What can I say, we must hate "freedom" or something.

Pretty sure you're talking about the Osamu Kitajima track...that was the first time I heard that stuff too & I dug it. Careful what you get though;

"Osamu Kitajima is a New Age/Ambient composer and performer, rooted in mystic Japanese sensibility."

The Slapp Happy album "Acnalbasac Noom" is real cool as well, used to listen to it at Mystery Train a lot...

Just to clarify: listened to the mp3 & I'm 99% sure the Osamu Kitajima track is the one you were referring to. So, yeah. There you go.
